HSS burrs are suitable for machining aluminium, aluminium alloys, non-ferrous metals and plastics. Use them mainly for shaping, chamfering edges, enlarging holes, finishing details or making small material adjustments where you need more precise work than with a standard grinding tool.

When to choose an HSS burr

Choose an HSS burr for softer metals and plastics where you need to remove and shape material precisely rather than grind it roughly. Select the burr shape according to the working area: cylindrical shapes are suitable for flat surfaces and edges, ball or tree shapes for rounding, and cone shapes for less accessible places.
