Torx (TX) Bits
Torx (TX) bits are screwdriver bits for screws with a star-shaped recess. Thanks to the shape of the tip, they transmit force effectively into the screw head and, when the correct size is selected, help reduce bit slipping and damage to the recess.
When to choose a Torx bit
Choose a TX bit when the screw head has a six-point star-shaped recess. Select the size according to the screw marking, for example TX 10, TX 15, TX 20, TX 25, TX 30 or TX 40. The correct size is important for a firm fit of the bit and safe torque transmission.

Does the screw have a security pin in the centre of the recess?
If there is a security pin in the centre of the Torx recess, a standard TX bit will not fit into the screw. In that case, you need the security version Torx Tamper, which has a hole in the centre of the tip.
