Resistorx (Torx Tamper) Bits
Resistorx bits, also known as Torx Tamper or “Torx with a hole”, are designed for security screws with a star-shaped recess and a pin in the centre. A standard Torx bit will not fit this type of screw; you need a bit with a hole in the centre of the tip.
When to choose Resistorx or Torx Tamper
Choose this type for screws used where unauthorised access should be restricted, for example in electronics, automotive components or industrial machinery. The screw looks similar to a standard Torx screw, but the security pin in the centre prevents the use of a standard TX bit.

Is there no security pin in the centre of the screw?
If the screw has only a star-shaped recess without a pin in the centre, use standard Torx (TX) bits. Choose Resistorx (Torx Tamper) only when there is a security feature in the screw head that requires a hole in the bit.
