Hexagonal Bits
Hexagonal bits are screwdriver bits for screws with an internal hex drive. Use them for hex socket screws, turbo screws and special wood screws where good torque transmission into the screw is required.
When to choose a hexagonal bit
Choose a hexagonal bit when the screw head has an internal hex recess. The size is not marked as PH, PZ or TX, but in millimetres, for example 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, 6 mm or 8 mm. The correct size is important so that the bit fits fully in the recess and does not damage the edges of the screw.

Does the screw have a different recess shape?
If the screw head does not have an internal hex drive, choose according to the actual recess shape: for cross-head screws use Phillips (PH) or Pozidriv (PZ/PZD), and for a star-shaped recess use Torx (TX).
