Magnetic nut drivers

Magnetic nut drivers are designed for installing TEX screws with an external hex head. The magnet holds the screw in the nut driver while positioning it and makes it easier to start driving.

When should you choose a magnetic nut driver?

A magnetic nut driver is particularly useful for repetitive screwdriving, when you need to position individual screws quickly and do not want to keep holding them by hand while placing them.

You can use it in a cordless drill/driver, drill or bit holder with a 1/4" hex drive.

This category contains one range of magnetic nut drivers in several sizes for different external hex-head dimensions of TEX screws. All variants have a 1/4" (6.35 mm) hex shank.

The individual variants are selected according to the size across flats of the screw head.

How do you choose the correct nut driver size?

The nut driver size must exactly match the size of the external hex head. If you do not know the size, measure the distance between two opposite flat faces of the hexagon – not across the corners.

For example, for an 8 mm wide hex head, choose an 8 mm nut driver. The correct size is important for secure engagement and proper torque transfer when tightening.

For a specific TEX screw, therefore choose the variant according to the size across flats of its external hex head.
